The fundamental goal of the “Right to Information Act, 2005” at Maharana Pratap Govt. Degree College Amb is to empower citizens, foster transparency and accountability in the government’s operations, mitigate corruption, and actualize a functioning democracy that genuinely serves the people. It is evident that an informed citizenry is better positioned to exercise vigilant oversight over the mechanisms of governance, thereby compelling the government to be more accountable to its constituents. The Act represents a significant stride in keeping citizens well-informed about the government’s activities, thereby promoting an engaged and enlightened populace.
