​  Maharana Pratap Govt. College, Amb came into being on 18th, June 1997 when the Himachal Pradesh Government took over the erstwhile National College, Amb, established in 1970. The College is situated in the center of the Amb town on the National Highway , 32 Kms away from Una, the District head-quarters, on the way to the famous shrine of  “the  goddess-Chintpurni”. At present  M.P.G.C Amb is NAAC accredited B grade with CGPA 2.4 and is one of the leading prestigious institution  of Himachal Pradesh.

The college has a beautiful campus area spread over 3.62 acres. It has spacious class rooms/ lecture halls, Smart class room, a central library along with a departmental library of professional courses, well equipped labs, NSS , NCC & sports facilities.

Courses Available

The college offers under-graduate courses in humanities, science(Med.,Non-Medical) & commerce and Post-graduate degree courses in English and Commerce. Apart from these courses, college is also running job oriented courses in P.G.D.C.A, BCA & BBA under Self-financing scheme.
